How do I read my WEX Motorpass statement?

WEX Motorpass statements look slightly different depending on whether they’re email or paper statements.

However, regardless of the statement type, they both contain the same information.

Email statements

WEX Motorpass Email Statement Example - Total Outstanding

1. Account number: The first nine digits is your account number. The number after the hyphen is a check digit.

2. Period ending: The date at the end of the billing period for the statement.

3. Bill number: The number of statements that have been issued on your account.

4. Customer since: The account opening date.

5. Expenditure limit: The amount you can spend on your account.

6. Amount due: How much you have to pay by the due date.

7. Date due: The date when you need to pay the amount due.

8. Transactions: Account summary i.e. the total spend in your account according to:

9. Date: Date of transaction.

10. Description: Type of purchase.

11. Total outstanding: The amount to be paid to WEX by the due date.

12. CR: Payments already received.

13. Amount due: The amount to be paid to us by the due date.

15. Previous statement: Amount spent in previous periods.

16. This statement: Amount spent in this billing period.

17. Diesel: Diesel purchases.

18. Fuel - Other: All other fuel types.

19. Oil: Oil purchases.

20. Vehicle Service: Vehicle servicing.

21. Travel: Taxi spend.

22. Accommodation: Accommodation spend.

23. Shop/Retail: Convenience purchases.

24. GST Free Retail: Convenience purchases that are GST exclusive.

25. Insurance & Recovery: WEX Roadside Assistance spend.

26. Management Fees: WEX Motorpass card fees.

27. Card Fees (Input Taxed): WEX Motorpass card fees that are GST exclusive.

28. Other charges: Other fees and charges.

29. Other charges (Input taxed): Other fees and charges that are GST exclusive.

30. Fuel Discount: Any discounts shown as credit.

31. GST: Total GST.

32. Total expenditure: Total purchases on this statement.

WEX Motorpass Email Statement Example - Cardholder Summary

33. Cardholder summary: Amount spent per card.

34. Card no.: WEX Motorpass card number.

35. Description: The name of the cardholder or the vehicle registration number that is embossed on the card.

36. Total litres: Total litres purchased by that card in the statement period.

37. Cardholder total: Total dollar amount spent per card excluding GST.

38. GST: Total GST for this card.

39. Total (incl. GST): Total amount spent on this card including GST.

WEX Motorpass Email Statement Example - Purchases by Cardholder

40. Purchases by cardholder/Card spend: All transactions charged to each individual WEX Motorpass card.

41. Cost centre: Your cost centre (if applicable).

42. Card number: The WEX Motorpass card number that made the transaction.

43. Date: Date of transaction.

44. Docket number: Receipt number.

45. Supplier name/ Location: Place of purchase.

46. Supplier ABN#: The ABN of the place of purchase.

47. Fuel brand: Fuel site brand.

48. Vehicle rego/ Ref.: The vehicle registration number of the cardholder.

49. Odometer: Current odometer reading at the time of creating the statement (if required by the account holder).

50. Product: Purchase type.

51. Unit cost Incl. GST (CPL): Cost of fuel at the time of purchase.

52. Qty/ Lts: Amount of fuel purchased.

53. Total excl. GST: Total amount spent on a transaction excluding GST.

54. GST Amount: Total amount of GST on a transaction.

55. Total incl. GST: Total amount spent on a transaction.

56. Below the line/ Account service fees: Fees and charges applicable to this card, i.e. transaction fees and card management fee.


Paper statements

1. Account number: The first nine digits is your account number. The number after the hyphen is a check digit.

2. Statement issue date: The date the statement is printed.

3. Statement number: The number of statements that have been issued on your account.

4. Expenditure limit: Spend limit.

5. Available spend as at statement issue date: Your spend limit that is still available as at statement issue date.

6. Opening balance: Amount owing to us at the start of this statement period.

7. Payments received: Any payments you have made during this statement period.

8. Credits: Any potential discounts or refunds.

9. Purchases: Your total amount spent in this statement period.

10. Fees: Fees and charges applicable to your account.

11. Closing balance: Amount to be paid to WEX.

12. Total: The amount that is still outstanding from a previous statement period.

13. Due date: The date when the outstanding amount is due.

14. Total: The amount that is overdue from a previous statement period.

15. Due date: The date when the outstanding amount was due.

16. Total: The total amount to be paid.

17. Due date: The date when you need to pay the total.

18. Date: Date of transaction.

19. Description: Payment type.

20. Total (Ex. GST): Total amount spent on a transaction excluding GST.

21. GST: Total amount of GST on a transaction.

22. Total (Inc. GST): Total amount spent on a transaction.

23. Card number: The WEX Motorpass card number that made the transaction.

24. Description: Your cardholder’s name, vehicle’s registration number and/or the car’s make and model.

25. Total litres: Amount of fuel purchased.

26. Total (Ex. GST): Total amount spent on a transaction excluding GST.

27. GST: Total amount of GST on a transaction.

28. Total (Inc. GST): Total amount spent on a transaction.

29. Overdue amount: The amount that is overdue from a previous statement period.

30. Due date: The date when the outstanding amount is due.

31. Outstanding amount: The total amount to be paid.

32. Not yet due: This means that the statement is payable by the statement due date (unless you have overdue payments from a previous statement, in which case pay at least the overdue amount as soon as possible).

33. Date: Date of transaction.

34. Docket number: Receipt number.

35. Supplier name/ location: Place of purchase.

36. Supplier ABN: The ABN of the place of purchase.

37. Fuel brand: Fuel site brand.

38. Vehicle rego/ Ref.: The vehicle registration number of the cardholder.

42. Quantity/ Litres: Amount of fuel purchased.

43. Total (Ex. GST): Total amount spent on a transaction excluding GST.

45. Total (Inc. GST): Total amount spent on a transaction.

46. Card number: The WEX Motorpass card number that made the transaction.

47. Card name: Your cardholder’s name, vehicle’s registration number and/or the car’s make and model.

48. Approx. fuel consumption: Only generated if enough odometer readings have been supplied.
